Wam Bam Club @ Cafe De Paris

Last Saturday, following our cakes and pastries at the afternoon tea, we hopped in a black cab and headed to iconic Piccadilly club Cafe de Paris.

Inside it's a Moulin Rouge-style ballroom with a huge balcony area and  two winding staircases down to the main floor. The decor is opulent and glamorous. We arrived at 8pm for the Wam Bam Club - a seductive, risque and funny cabaret show performing on Saturday nights before the main nightclub gets going.

The area that will later on become the dancefloor  was filled with dining tables.

Laura and I watched the show from up in the balcony.

With champagne corks popping all around us, the venue had a terrific atmosphere.

It was clear that everyone was out to have a great time.

There were burlesque performers, acrobats, drag queens, a fire-eater, comedians and a hell of a lot of feathers!

Not to mention a fair amount of nudity...it's probably not a show for the prudish!

Now I'm probably not the easiest person to impress having seen what I believe to be the best show of this kind - Absinthe in Vegas. But there was no denying that everyone there, including the many hen parties, was having a fabulous time and thoroughly entertained!

When the show had ended, the tables were whipped away in under 3 minutes and the theatre had become a nightclub.

Our friends at Lux Guestlist had kindly arranged us a table downstairs to continue our Saturday night.

We sipped on vodka and cranberry juice, celebrity spotted (do Made In Chelsea cast members count?)...

...and chatted away to some of the other lovely girls on our table.

Some shapes were thrown on the dancefloor that night, I can tell you!

You can get tickets for the Wam Bam Club, every Saturday at Cafe de Paris, here

  1. Firstly... I LOVE THE NEW HEADER! Very classy, simple and elegant :)
Secondly... I'm incredibly jealous. I've always wanted to go to see burlesque and this just reminds me of the Moulin Rouge/ Ewan McGregor!
Thirdly... As always. You look incredible (again!). Your wardrobe must be the size of my bedroom!

    1. Thank you, I'm glad you like it! I thought it was time for an update!

Aw, I loved Moulin Rouge. Cried like a baby at the end. With regards to my outfit, I have to admit it is a new top but got it at the bargain price of £20 at Miss Selfridge!

Thanks for your lovely comments :)
