Katy Perry - The Prismatic World Tour

I was lucky enough to go to two fantastic gigs last week. Having only just got 'Hangin' Tough' out of my head from the fun-filled New Kids On The Block show on Wednesday, on Friday night it was off to the O2 Arena to see the London leg of Katy Perry's Prismatic World Tour.

Having arrived somewhat early, Mary and I settled in the Amex Lounge for some singing and dancing fuel (nachos and sweet potato fries!) and a couple of pre-show cocktails.

I'd nabbed the last Lashes of London Lovebird dress from the ASOS sale a couple of days earlier. I thought with it's rainbow colours it was a little bit 'Katy Perry'. It never hurts to try and match the dress to the occasion I suppose!

The show was fabulous. A visual feast that kept your eyes locked on the stage from start to finish. Katy kicked the night off with the rousing Roar as her neon-clad backing dancers did their thing around her. From then on it was hit song after hit song and colourful costume changes galore (I really want to get my hands on a couple of her amazing wigs!) The show was divided into several stunning set-pieces, each one as jaw-dropping as the last. The giant mechanical horse that Egyptian Katy entered the stage on was particularly lovely...almost as much as her flying across the O2 via balloon!

The big finale was the anthemic Firework which rounded off the fantastic spectacle perfectly. Well done lady!
